"May you allow room for God to speak this holiday season."

"May you draw close to God–and God draw close to you–this Christmas."

My final Christmas card had been sent when I discovered these two lines in an old journal entry. Had I run across them earlier, I may have included these in my written greetings.

For now, at least, these can be my holiday greeting to myself:

"Dirk, this week, create a bit of quiet space for God to speak. And may you and God draw close."
