The 60-Second Sabbath

Feast of the Epiphany

On Epiphany, an epiphany would be welcomed. I can't count on it, of course, or create it. (Such is not the nature of epiphanies.) But I can invite it:

"Today (on Epiphany)," I say aloud, "Please, if you don't mind, I'd like an epiphany–a big one, and helpful. Not something like, "OMG, I have skin cancer!" or "What do you mean, laid off?" but more like, "Oh, so that's what I should do with the rest of my life!" or "At last, the key to happiness!" or "It was right there all the time, right under my nose!"

That sort of epiphany, thank you…on Epiphany…which is today.

Any time…
