We need not run from the future,
    need not abandon ourselves
    to the doomsayers and apocalyptic prophets,
    those who read scripture
    as an end-time move script
    filled with CGI firestorms and floods,
    with the righteous floating heavenward,
    doe-eyed and beautific.

With Jesus,
    we're entitled to reclaim the earth and its future
    as a time of healing, cleansing, equality, wholeness and happiness.

This is the real meaning of the kingdom of heaven
    where all have enough,
    all are one,
    and no one is left behind.
