In Denver
a rainy day is a rare gift.

For those of you from drizzly climes
it may seem annoying and dreary,
but for us,
it's our world renewed and cleansed,
and we know the next few days
will yield brighter green lawns.
freshened air
and a sense of joyful growth.

It's like the whole city
downs a glass of chilled water
after a long, parching hike.

Aaaah!
