I feel small today,
sitting in the presence of Eboo Patel
and a panel of volunteer participants,
who have, it seems,
done more to advance the cause of world peace
by the age of 30,
than I will in my lifetime. 

But then I remind myself
of the 1,000's of people
who, every week,
use the materials I help create–
resources that connect
those seeking the sacred
with themselves,
with each other
and with God.

I bounce between
this sense of smallness
and the certainty
that what I do matters.

Only God knows the truth.
