I'm sorry,
but who told you,
life should be easy?

Clearly you have not read
the instruction manual.

For the first two years or so
it will appear is if
it's all about you,
and those around you
will allow you this illusion.
But from then on,
you'll be growing into the truth–
you are just one of many,
all vying for a slice
of the same pie.
And you won't get
(certainly don't deserve)
a bigger slice than anyone else.

You will endure pain, loss and disappointment.
This wear and tear is normal
and should be expected.

For best results
be grateful,
be humble,
enjoy what you can,
always act out of kindness
and the assumption of positive intent. 

Feel sorry for yourself if you need to,
but not for long.

Say please and thank you.
Ask for help.

General trouble-shooting:
The biggest obstacle
you'll need to get over
is yourself.
This simple step
should solve most problems you'll encounter.

And you don't come with a warranty,
lifetime or otherwise.
