The 60-Second Sabbath

The Puzzle

Pieces of my life
everywhere…

…forgotten at the bottom of my sock drawer,
slipped behind the shoe rack in the closet,
abandoned in the cabinet in the guest bathroom,
    tucked into a photo album,
lost among WordPerfect docs on my hard drive,
    buried in the piano bench,
slid between long-expired boxes of Jello in the cupboard,
encrusted with frost at the back of the freezer,
jammed in the glove box of my car,
stuck to the underside of a sneaker,
revealed to me in a tearful session of therapy,
remembered in an e-mail from my niece,
waiting in the eyes of my husband,
embodied in the touch of a cat's paw…

How many pieces does this frickin' puzzle have?
Where's the box cover?
What's it supposed to look like?

Will I ever get it together?

Will I ever get it together?
